Vans BMX team rider Lewis Mills sees art in everything he does, and that mindset makes him the perfect candidate to introduce Vans’ brand-new BMX Peak silhouette—a progressive style that honors Vans BMX heritage while looking to the future. The “Lewshoe,” as Mills has dubbed his unique edition, is an extension of his own multihyphenate nature.
On his bike, Mills is known for his unique style in street BMX, combining technical proficiency and power. To live up to these standards, his BMX Peak features a comfortable new UltimateWaffle™ midsole, outsoles with the VDFPR rubber compound to enhance pedal grip and durability, and a seamless, hot spot-free upper with LuxLiner™ technology on its tongue and lining. Off his bike, Mills is an accomplished painter, and the shoe’s aesthetic sensibilities salute this passion and artistic talent. The custom heel graphic was created specifically for this shoe, and a full-color drop-in sockliner takes its abstract print from the palettes Mills uses in his studio.
